About Dawn…

Over the past 19 years, I have been working as a Registered Social Worker with children, youth, families and adults in a variety of clinical and community based settings. Whether in counselling and outreach, tertiary and acute care, crisis services or school counselling, I am always inspired by the resilience, strength and courage I witness as people explore life’s adversities and gifts. I am blessed to have been part of so many folk’s lives!

As a lifelong student, I am currently expanding my western clinical training and exploring plant medicine, holistic health and indigenous ways of knowing and healing. I hold great reverence and gratitude to these medicines, the people who carry them and to their ancestors. In a time where the world often feels upside down, this medicine grounds me and reminds me who we all are. I am grateful this medicine came into my life.

I am a Mother of 2 courageous children who teach me how to be in the moment, to keep an open heart and be playful. My husband and I are committed to teaching our kids to be kind and creative people who respect and understand nature while valuing personal autonomy, liberty and freedom.
