Confidentiality

Counselling sessions are confidential. The nature of virtual services has unique risks to confidentiality. The client is responsible for ensuring they are in a quiet and confidential space during our sessions. I use Zoom platform and can never fully guarantee confidentiality within the realms of cyberspace.

Confidentiality may also be impacted if I have concerns about client safety, the safety of someone else or I have concerns that a child is being abused. I will always try to remain transparent with the client when involving a third party.

Insurance

As a Registered Social Worker my services may be covered under your extended health plan. Please check with your provider directly to determine if you are eligible to submit your receipts for reimbursement. The client will be responsible for reimbursement through their provider. I do not provide any direct billing.

Missed Appointments

Fees will be payable for any cancelled or missed appointments within 48 hours of booking time.

Fees

My fees are in alignment with the recommended fee schedule as per the BCCSW. They range from $150 - $200/ 50 minutes session for individuals or families. As an RSW, I do not charge GST. Please speak with me directly about my sliding scale option.

Payments can be made by e-transfer. A receipt will be provided following payment.

Once Booked

Once you book an appointment, the client will be emailed all intake and informed consent documents to be completed prior to the first session.

A Zoom link will be emailed 1-2 hours prior to our session.
